Pumpkin Carving Submission Deadline Extended

We have decided to extend the submission deadline for our 4th Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest to Wednesday, 10/31/12. Voting will then take place Thursday and end Friday at midnight. A winner will be posted on Saturday 11/3/12.

Fourth Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest-Deadline Extended

Time to get your carve on! 

How to register:  One pumpkin submission per person. All submissions should be prepared to provide a photo of you carving the master piece, should it be called into question, or be one of our finalists, to keep everyone honest. Email your entry to FairclothContest@gmail.com  Your email entry should consist of a photo (jpeg format) no larger than 100KB. Be sure to include your contact information (pumpkin’s name, your name, email address & city you live in). We will accept emails until midnight on Wednesday, October 31,2012. 

Voting will start on Thursday, November 1 st and last through midnight on Friday, November 2 nd.

GO TO: http://agentfaircloth.com/vote/ Get your friends, family & coworkers voting,  the winner will have a choice between an iPhone5 or an ipad!  The winner will be announced on Halloween (Oct. 31, 2012)!  (Note The name of the winner and the winning photo will be posted on the site on the afternoon of Oct. 31st.)  One vote per person. We have put security measures in place to make it difficult to cheat!  Anyone found cheating will be disqualified from the contest.

Over 10,000 people flood AgentFaircloth.com to view pumpkins

Virginia Beach, VA – October 31, 2011 – Over 10,000 people flooded site to view and vote on local Real Estate Specialist, Chris Faircloth’s (aka Agent Faircloth) Annual Online Pumpkin Carving Contest.  Contestants came from California, Colorado, Washington, New York, Florida and of course, the Commonwealth of Virginia. Voters from all over the world including the UK, South Africa, China, Korea and Australia selected their favorite pumpkins online.

After a grueling count of the votes and working with IT and Word Press experts, Faircloth said “I am delighted with the creativity of all our contestants this year. We had an amazing turn out and I am thankful to all who participated”.  AgentFaircloth.com received 65 pumpkin submissions along with 959 votes and over 10,000 visitors scoping out the contest. One vote separated first place from second place.  Faircloth was quoted “Next year we will be using a polling application to give real time voting status, as I think this will help contestants push for more votes”.

The winner, Matt Ryan of Midlothian, VA won with his submission named Bartholomew. This was Matt’s first pumpkin carving contest and he was the gracious winner of an iPad.

2011 Winner of the Third Annual Online Pumpkin Carving contest is….

After several hours of counts, recounts, investigating IP addresses, reports of spamming  and accounting for multiple votes from the same individual, we have a WINNER!

 Honorable mention goes to #64 & #2! The numbers were so very close! Congrats Matt, you’ve won an iPad!
 
Next year we will be using a polling application to simplify the process! Start planning for your pumpkin submission next year, we’re planning on bigger prizes too!
