Pleasure House Point – Grand Opening

Friday, October 12 marked the ribbon cutting ceremony for Pleasure House Point, in Virginia Beach, VA. at 11 am. This property was once considered for a large waterfront development, but with coordinated efforts by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation the City preserved one of the largest undeveloped parcels of land on the Lynnhaven River.

Yesterday, October 13th, Bryan and I stopped in to check out the 2nd Annual Fall Festival and Grand Opening of Pleasure House Point. From kayak tours, to guided nature walks, to eco-friendly craft vendors, to live music to locally-grown foods. They even had an onsite Farmer’s Market and Seafood Market.

If you get a chance, pack up a lunch and take your kids or dog to check out this beautiful park on the Lynnhaven.
